The Executive Order 9066 was on order that placed all Japanese American citizens in compounds. The order was issued by President Roosevelt for fear that Japanese American citizens were spies. These citizens were sent to compounds stationed far away from their home towns. The conditions of the camp were horrible. All of the decisions in the order were unjust.

After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, America was set on edge. Political figures were worried about the presence of Japanese spies in America. This fear of spies prompted American leaders to execute Executive Order 9066. All Japanese-Americans were stripped of their rights and sent to compounds where they were to reside until their innocence was proven.

The conditions of the camps that imprisoned the Japanese-American citizens were horrible. The shelters were cramped and dirty. There was no education system, so they were forced to organize a school system on their own. When they were finally released, they found that their houses and businesses were vandalized. and they were no longer welcomed by their neighborhood. They were hated by everyone.

This incident has its rights and wrongs. Roosevelt had solid reason to execute the order. He was afraid of spies in America. Fear, however, doesn't excuse the stripping of the rights of Japanese-American citizens. These citizens should not have been imprisoned without just cause and due process.

The Executive Order 9066 was an order based in fear. The order was wrong in almost every way. The stripping of the rights of these citizens was unconstitutional and unjust. American leaders did have their reasons, but they were misplaced. Overall, The Executive Order 9066 was completely unjust.
