It seems as if one who enjoys being physically fit, firing guns, and being on an adrenaline rush, then that individual would eradicate everything from their minds but the United States Marine Corps. With the physical endurance alone, all of the qualifications are hard to pass. I will go over the major needs to join the marines, but reader beware, this is for mature audiences only.

The first stage to becoming a marine is, in fact, the physical requirements. Every Marine must be physically fit, regardless of age, grade, or duty assignment. Furthermore, physical fitness is an indispensable aspect of leadership. Which in most cases, leadership skills are difficult to come by. A marine also has to have exemplary self-discipline to maintain a high physical condition as well. The test requirements are as follows; a minimum of three pull-ups, a minimum of 50 crunches in under two minutes, and a three mile run in under 28 minutes. However, this is not all one needs to become a marine. There is still a three month boot camp waiting for it's next victim.

The Crucible is 54 straight hours of work and missions that will test ones abilities. With no time for sleep, the becoming marines must use the skills they have learned to prove whether or not they have what it takes to fight for their country. 54 continuous hours of physical and mental challenges can break the strongest of men. So it is wise to mentally and physically prepared for this once in a lifetime challenge. Whoever makes it out in one piece will then go straight to the Emblem Ceremony. This is where they will become full fledged Marines, and earn the right to become one. This is the end of hell, but the beginning of a new self image and lifestyle for them.

After all the rigorous training, mind-breaking insults, and terrifying challenges, only a select few will will endure it through. As they came in as one group, they will leave a group. Working together through the end and looking out for each other no matter what. As the motto Semper Fidelis describes, Always Faithful. Always Faithful to their country, friends, family, each other, and everyone around them. This is what
