My Personal Reading History

I hated reading ever since kindergarten, till now. Ever since 5th grade I have loved reading. I will be talking to you about three different topics, will be how my 5th grade teacher got me into reading, how much I used to hate reading, and I would rather have someone read to me. Please enjoy!

My 5th grade teacher was one of the funniest and coolest teachers I have ever had. She was always so pumped up to read so then that got me wanting to start reading so badly. She would always find more and more books for me to put on my someday reads list. Then when she that all I did was read and would not stop doing it. Yet, once I finished one she would come up to me all excited and say that I had to read the book that was in her hand. She would that I have to start reading it right away not a minute less or more. Well there is still many more facts about my teacher.

I remember the old days when I hated reading and not wanting to go to the library at all. When I was younger I would pretend to read a book because I hated reading so much. Usually if I wanted to read I would read one chapter of a book then I would give up on that book and I would do that with every single book. Sometimes with some teachers I would try To get away with it and draw instead and read a book and that did not work so much. There are a lot more but I will talk about those some other time.

When I use to have to read for homework when I was younger, I would always try to get my mom or dad to read a book to me instead of me trying to read. Usually when I listen to someone reading I can usually remember more easy. I also like it when they would read it like they were in the story themselves. I would usually be able to give more of my attention to the book more easily when someone reads to me That is mostly it on why I would rather have someone read to me.

I hope you also know how I like and don’t like reading.
