The world is becoming smaller. Initially we were able to obtain news from newspaper and/or radio. This has evolved. Now, media allows us as to see or to know what is happening on the other side of the world in an instant. With the introduction of the internet and cellphones. Radio and newspapers are losing popularity as quick as it gained popularity in the beginning. We are on the go. Therefore we obtain updates of news through social networks and search engines. There is no longer the need to flip through a paper or wait through commercials; the news is easily accessed. There are some disadvantages to the use of internet and fast traveling news. Although, the media is changing daily news is either broadcasted or by word of mouth in America. News is no longer filtered. We obtain information as written at the moment, with no addition. Visual learning becomes global and many people are taking advantage of it while it's here. The internet provides visual entertainment to all that have access to it. The media is all around us and what surrounds us will have an effect on any and everyone in the world.

There is a fair balance between the advantages and disadvantages of media today. This depends on the use of the tools. The most popular advantage is convenience and efficiency to obtain rapid information. Our reality consists of an overload of time consumption which leads to using these tools on the go. We can do homework through our phones, watch videos, read the news, read and reply emails, among others. The disadvantage of media is that we have been led to materialistic things. For example; music videos show a life of jewelry, expensive cars and perfect bodies. This is not our reality. We have to work hard for what we have or may obtain. Furthermore we must discard the information used to submit assignments and establish or modify ideas. As previously stated media is just a tool. How will you use it?
