Persuasive Essay - Vacation at My Preferred Location

In this paper, it is my intention to persuade my family to vacation at my preferred location. I have decided to splurge on a dream vacation with my family and have chosen the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida as the location. I will explain why this vacation is worth the expense and why my family should choose this preferred location. The Walt Disney World Resort is a place that I have dreamed of going since early childhood.

I would like to stay in the deluxe accommodations provided by Disney's Board Walk Inn. The Board Walk Inn is a Disney Deluxe Resort that resembles Atlantic City in the 1940's. The resort sits along a boardwalk that is filled with games and performance artists and offers stunning views of activity below and of the beautiful Crescent Lake. The resort has many activities for children including an arcade, fishing, watercraft and bike rentals, a 24-hour playground, and the Luna Park pool where kids can ride the 200-foot-long water slide (Walt Disney World, 2010). The Board Walk Inn provides luxury, convenience, and entertainment; a must for a family looking to be comfortable and have a good time.

The time frame I have chosen is a total of ten days during the springtime, preferably during the month of April when the children are enjoying their school vacation. I will be purchasing the ten day Magic Your Way tickets and will include the Park Hopper option along with the Water Park Fun and More option. The Park Hopper option lets people come and go through the different theme parks on the same day for the entire ten day period of the ticket. The Water Park option allows guests to enjoy admission to the two Water Parks along with other activities throughout the resort (Walt Disney World, 2010). The ten day tickets allow for ample time to enjoy all that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.

The dining plan that I have chosen is the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. This plan allows each guest to have three table-service or quick-service meals and two snacks per day at any of the over 100 participating restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. The restaurants are located in all the Disney theme parks, Downtown Disney, and all the Disney hotels (Walt Disney World, 2010). This option allows the family to convenience of never leaving the resort to find a location to eat. The option makes it easier on a family with children since it includes all three meals and snacks.

The Walt Disney World Resort provides an abundance of entertainment with the four major theme parks and additional parks and activities available throughout the resort. The major attractions include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Downtown Disney.
