I believe the main components of a police report are time, date, location, and the type of offense. With these facts written down, one can see what was reported to the officer unless he or she was present during the crime in action. By having witnesses, the police can find out more easily about who was present. By knowing who was present, it can help to determine who the suspects are. It is also good to know who was absent that are usually present at the time. This way, the absent ones can be questioned and have an alibi. It does help a lot by knowing what happened, what started it, what stopped it, etc. Knowing that, the officer would have a better idea of what he is looking for.

In this case scenario, I would be able to provide the identification of the suspect and his wife. Also I would provide the time of my stakeout, the predicted time of the attack, as well as the time of the actual incident. I would also provide the location of my stakeout, the location of the attack, and where my partner and I took down the suspect. Did I find a gun on the suspect? I'd also check my surroundings such as did anyone else hear a gunshot, and what does the wife say he was doing in the car. I'd ask her why did she stay in the car and what was he going in the store to get.

Did my partner have sufficient cause to be on a stakeout? I believe yes. Being on a stake out couldn't really bother anyone. A stakeout is a period of secret surveillance of a building or an area mostly by the police in order to observe someone's activities. It is meant to hide out and not bother anyone.

I don't think that the Asia man's rights were violated in any way. If the suspect is innocent, I believe he would definitely deserve an explanation of why this has happened. I would tell him that he fitted the description of a suspect. As the chief of police, if the Asian man's rights were violated in any way, I would check into what ways were his rights violated. I would also investigate the officers and see if they had any disciplinary actions taken against them on the same offense. I would also let the victim know that I will take care of the officers. I believe the wife should have a warning, especially if her husband is innocent. I mean she did get rowdy and caused her husband to do the same as well. She could be charged with a misdemeanor for fighting back with the police and not letting them do their job.

A lot of people mistake a description of someone by race as being racist. If someone is giving a description of another, then saying the race would be very helping and could possibly narrow down the surrounding ethnicities in the area that could possibly be suspects. If someone told me that a short man of a Hispanic decent has broken in my house and ran into this building full of people, I wouldn't go in the building making the suspects tall white or black women. Any description helps, whether someone is saying "very fat" or "almost skin and bones" it gives a great idea of what the suspect looks like.

If this case led to a public outcry for a citizen review board to examine questionable police activities and recommend disciplinary and policy actions as chief of police of police I would be more than happy to support the creation of such a board. The board
