How is the Marine NCO the embodiment of the Corps' history and traditions?

Throughout military history, the strive for excellence and superiority among others is something that all nations with armed forces struggle to have. The United States is by far probably the most successful countries since its existence and part of that is because it has one of the strongest military organizations in the history of the world. They are successful most likely for the fact that the cause and drive of America was freedom, which during history is the one thing that people endure to have. Among the many institutions of the United States is the United State Marine Corps, the smallest but most feared military groups in the world. The Corps' success and reputation is due to the fact that they hold themselves to high standards and posses a high level of camaraderie. The Non-Commissioned Officers are the main reason for this status and achievement. The Marine NCO is the embodiment of the Corps' history and traditions because it is their job to uphold and carry on tradition, they seek to improve the Corps' each day, and they reflect how ones who came before influenced them and how they will influence the future.

In earlier wars Medals of Honor were handed out more than they are today and this is likely because the level of bravery and leadership has increased. Today, NCOs are trusted with much more responsibility than they were back in the day. They are constantly looking a way to 'one-up' the ones who came prior and the ones they serve with today. It is that level of camaraderie and competition that keeps our Corps going and shows that NCOs are the personification of the Corps.

Everywhere Marines go in the world it is their duty and responsibility to uphold the reputation and vision of the Corps. Marines especially NCOs are driven by influences and standards left by others who came before and showed them how to keep improving values. They show how the past and old is still part of the future and how the Corps has not changed and probably will never because if it did it would lose the current principles it has now. NCOs are appointed the duty of training and guiding their seniors and
