To reduce unemployment he enacted the Works Progress Administration(WPA), wagner national labor relations act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Unemployment Relief Act, and the Public Works Administration. To help the farmers, he established the Agriculture Adjustment act, Soil conservation Act, and the Second Agriculture Adjustment Act. Women and men alike were out of jobs unable to support their families and suffering from starvation during the Great depression. The people were becomming restless with their constant problems, one letter was written to Senator Robert Wagner in hopes of change. armers were hit hard, constant low prices and over production, mortgages were foreclosed. Everyone felt the impact of the Great Depression and when Franklin D. Roosevelt entered the presidency he knew great measures had to be persued to relieve his countries agony. He concentrated on simulating the economy through an increase in spending. This put six billion dollars into the economy that was used for the recovery of industrial activity. This money went to the Works Progress Administration(WPA), wagner national labor relations act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Unemployment Relief Act, and the Public Works Administration. To help the farmers, he established the Agriculture Adjustment act, Soil conservation Act, and the Second Agriculture Adjustment Act. He issued a lot of acts started many organizations, which later got the name for being his Alphabet Agencies. All of these agencies increased the power of the federal government by providing jobs and decreasing the unemployment rate during the depression.

Roosevelt major point to his New Deal was relief. He wanted to help Americans who had suffered the most during the GD. To support this relief, he created groups the CCC and Works Project administration to provide numerous jobs to the unemployed. This gave a fast relief. This was greatly effective because it took more than 3 million people of the streets and put to work. Another positive to this was he also included African Americans in his policies by supporting them with jobs as well. He well believed that Negroes were as part of the country and must be considered in the programs also. This way the suffering of all the needy was relieved.
