Forensics Scientist

Reflecting back to freshman year I remember all the worries about high school. They weren't about passing classes or doing well in school. My worries included getting a boyfriend, talking to the cutest senior and looking cute everyday. As the years went on, I got more relaxed with my appearance; I didn't worry so much about the cute guy looking at me across the cafeteria and still never really worried about my grades. That was until the threat of not graduating on time was brought to my attention.

As of senior year, I am more focused on my grades than anything else. Graduating on time is the biggest goal for me. There is so much pressure on me to pass. If I don't I will feel as though I let down a lot of people, including myself. I am here because I want to make everyone proud of me and show them I can do anything I put my mind to. I also want to further my studies at the Fox Valley Tech. in Criminal Justice to become a Forensics Scientist.

Becoming a Forensics Scientist has been my dream since eighth grade. Everyone thinks that I want to become a C.S.I. because of the show, but I tell them that I am becoming a C.S.I to get criminals off the streets. After I graduate from college, I plan on moving to a big city and pursuing my career. And I would like to eventually become a wife and have children.

I do have some fears and sadness about leaving High School. What brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it is leaving my friends. Just thinking about how we will never be together as the full 'class of 2011' anymore is heartbreaking. There are some friends that I have had since kindergarten that will be going there separate ways in only a few short months. The biggest fear about graduating is being able to go live on my own. I know my mom has always said as long as I'm in school or working I can live with her, but I have been thinking about, and dreading, that day I get to live on my own for almost 10 years now. In the end I will always be able to look back and realize my high school career was the best years of my life.
