Personality implies predictability about how a person will act or react under different circumstances (Encyclopedia). Personality types determine the different characteristics which make an individual different from others.

Personality can be determined by using Myers-Briggs type indicators based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological types which was developed to determine the different personality types based on the individual preferences.

"People can be either Extroverts or Introverts, depending on the direction of their activity; Thinking, Feeling, Sensing, Intuitive, according to their own information pathways; Judging or Perceiving, depending on the method in which they process received information." (Psychological "personality" types)

Today I will be talking about the Personality Assessment Profile and how it can be used to determine a candidate's reaction to a particular situation such as those of the students in the study environment.

The variables like extrovert, introvert, intuition, sensing, feeling, perceiving and judging combine to form 16 different personality types. These variables can help an individual to determine the career paths and can also be used to identify potential criminals from the big crowd.

To determine one's personality, the candidate must complete the Personality Assessment Profile. Once the scores have been calculated, the corresponding categories are compared to see which one does the candidate has more tendencies toward. So for example, is the person Extrovert or Introvert, would be determined by comparing their scores on the two categories and say a person gets a higher score on the Extrovert category than Introvert than he/she is an Extrovert and vice versa.

Finally, when the 4 categories have been determined from Introvert or Extrovert, Sensing or Intuition, Thinking or Feeling and Judging or Perceived, a profile is created. There are 16 profiles possible. As any person will have one of the 16 profiles, their profile will detail their ideal reactions towards a particular situation.

Extroverts, for instance, are directed towards the objective world whereas Introverts are directed towards the subjective world. Extroverts draw their strength from other people, are outgoing and love interaction. Their decisions are made keeping others in mind and they enjoy being the centre of attention. Introverts on the other hand draw their strength from the inner world. They are usually quiet and make decisions by themselves. They don't like to be the centre of attention and are private.

Now from the next categories: Sensing and Intuition, sensing types use their five senses to gather information. They only take into account concrete facts and details and have
