In 1952 Walt Disney released the enchanting movie, Alice in Wonderland. More than 60 years later, Tim Burton, released Alice in Wonderland with a captivating twist. Alice now 19, years old, once again follows a white rabbit down a rabbit hole and returns to this enchanting world that she first entered as a seven year old child. Because of the difference in characters, use of similar quotes, and the differences in the story line, Walt Disney's original Alice in Wonderland is preferred over Tim Burton's remake of the movie.

Even though there is a difference of twelve years, the characters from the older version of Alice in Wonderland are more enchanting and friendlier looking than the remake. In Walt Disney's version the characters are cartoons not actors; like the remake has. The older film is all animated but the characters resemble creatures in everyday life such as, a little girl, a white rabbit, a lizard, and a crazy man. There are also characters that do not resemble things in everyday life such as a dodo bird, fighting cards, talking flowers, and a hookah smoking blue caterpillar. The characters look more colorful and imaginative. However, in the remake there were some actors like Alice, the Mad Hatter, The Knave of hearts, and the White Queen. There were also animated characters such as the flamingos, the white rabbit, the blue caterpillar, and the Queen of Hearts. In Tim Burton's remake some of the characters look pale and sick. It seems like they have never set foot outside in the sunshine. In the original Alice has some color in her face and golden blonde hair, along with her deep blue eyes that are extremely memorizing. However, in the remake Alice is white as a ghost, has light blonde hair, and pale lifeless blue eyes. In the old version the characters seem warmer, nicer, and more appealing than the remake.
