A Journey to the center of the earth.

The center of the earth is very difficult to reach. We are on the earth's crust which is 20 miles thick under continents , and three miles thick under oceans which a machine cannot dig in order to reach the center. After the crust is the mantle of the earth which is also very thick, 1,750 miles thick to be exact. Then it reaches the Outer core which is 1, 300 miles thick. After that is the center of the earth which is 8100 degrees Fahrenheit. To know how hot the center of the earth is Fahrenheit will be converted to Celsius. The boiling water is 100 degrees Celsius, 100 degrees Celsius converted to Fahrenheit is 212 degrees Fahrenheit. So, the hotness of the center of the earth is more or like 80 times the hotness of the boiling water. So we can really say a human could not really go near the center of the earth. July 13, 2011
