Today, in Western Civilization, there are numerous occasions where contributions of ancient Greek Arts and Architecture affected and impacted our civilization. Without these contributions from ancient Greece, we would have completely different lives and would be entirely mislay. The Greek culture has had a very profound impact on the way people live today in Western Civilization.
According to document 7, the ancient Greek Parthenon has specific features that had an immense amount of influence to the Western Civilization. For example, the columns it possesses have spread to Western Civilization. In addition, white houses and buildings have also spread and have impacted Western Civilization. Also, the overall geometric shape of perfection has spread to Western Civilization. Finally, the way that roofs are built, without using any inside support, have spread and have been taught in Western Civilization. Today, in Western Civilization, this is how several buildings and even homes are conceived and constructed. Design elements are what these features have taught us as a whole.
According to document 8, Myron's famous marble sculpture "The Discus Thrower", this statue reveals a multitude of values about ancient and historic Greek civilization. For example, this displays a taste for grace and form. They placed this in the shape of a nude male athlete. This has impacted the Western Civilization in countless aspects. For example, we have bountiful sculptures and paintings of presidents and high ranking military leaders, because of Greek Civilization. The Greeks believed that the emotionless art portrayed a sense of power. The Greeks had many plays. The Greeks had two main types of plays Tragedy and a Comedy.
