SWOT Analysis

The purpose of this paper is to go over Swim Green SWOT Analysis. According to Pearce-Robinson (2009) SWOT is an acronym for the internal Strengths and Weaknesses of a firm, and the environmental Opportunities and Threats facing that firm. SWOT analysis is technique through which managers create a quick overview of a company's strategic situation. It has been prove that organizations that use the SWOT analysis are more successful and easily adapt to changes than those who do not. Swim Green has adopted this technique as part of the organization strategic plan.

Strengths

"A strength is a resource or capability controlled by or available to a firm that gives it an advantage relative to its competitors in meeting the needs of the customers it servers" (Pearce- Robinson, 2009).Swim Green strengths are:

(1) Small organization ~ Swim Green been such a small organization it can keep a better control and monitor its daily activities.

(2) Very customer oriented ~ Swim Green is a very customer oriented organization, anytime Raquel has a free time she comes out to the store sales floor and interact with customers. Employees are encouraged to maintain a high level of professionalism when talking to customer, to have a positive and friendly attitude, and to always be willing to help.

(3) Raquel's personal relationship with the staff ~ Raquel has an open door policy allowing her to interact with her employees in a daily basis.

(4) Good store location ~ products Swim Green store locations are key to its success. The organization stores are currently located approximately one mile away from the beach and near many different hotels, attracting a lot of tourist and local residents.

(5) Preserve the planet with earth-friendly products ~ Swim Green store locations are key to its success.
