McDonald's Issue

McDonald is the biggest chain of fast food restaurant, which offers different varieties to customers worldwide. This organization is popular among the people of all-ages due to its tasty and delicious food products, which are served by its various food chains throughout the world. The issue, which the organization is facing, is the impact of its food on the health of the consumers. Due to the fact that McDonalds food products sold contain a dangerous amount of calories and heavy quantity of saturated fat have led to many consumers to be at a high level for obesity, heart disease. Apart from this, its food has detrimental effect on water and land, which has both organizational and societal implications (McDonald's and Corporate Social Responsibility, 2009).

The organizational implication lies in the fact that states that the profitability and goodwill of this organization will be harmed due to the detrimental effects of its food products. The societal implication of this issue lies in the fact that the health aspect of the people of the society is at stake. The NGO's may hamper the activities of McDonald's by questioning the ingredients of the food products, which causes ill-effects on the health of general public (Boone, & Kurtz, 2006).

Strategy to Address the Organizational Audience

To address the organizational audience, I would organize a meeting to explain the remedy, which I would like to take, in order to remove the problem. I would perform some changes in the ingredients of the food by reducing the fat level according to the food standards. I would also balance other ingredients that pose health problems to the consumers. This strategy will remove the anxiety of the organizational audience that is based on the information that they are working in an unethical way. Apart from this, I would also make aware the organizational audience about the consequences of the food ingredients, which will satisfy their doubt about their practices.

Strategy to Address the Societal Audience

To address the societal audience, I would organize a press conference, which will state the likely changes in the food ingredients that are harmful for the health of the societal audience. I would also dispatch a warning attachment on the packaging of the food products, in order to make the people aware of the likely effect of these ingredients. Apart from this, I would also generalize the remedy procedure before the public, which will assist the organization to develop a compliance with the ethical standards set by the societal audience. I would also adopt some hygienic practices, which ensure the safety of the food products (McDonald's and Corporate Social Responsibility, 2009).
