The Jim's Lunch Evaluation

In my hometown there is a small diner everyone loves to eat in called Jim's Lunch. Jim's Lunch is a part of this city's history. Jim's Lunch is a low-priced, family oriented restaurant, specializing in classic American cuisine. I love eating Jim's Lunch because the atmosphere makes you feel welcome and the service and food are the best.

Jim's Lunch is owned and operated by family. They treat all their customers like a part of their family. Everyone is greeted by the owner when they arrive. Its casual atmosphere made me feel like I was at home. Since the place is small, they yell out a lot of their orders, which gives the feeling of being at home on a holiday. The walls are decorated with items they have received from their customers and pictures of the family and owners. Some of the décor on the walls are from soldiers overseas, letters they have written and pictures asking for a Jim's burger. Pulling up out front you can clearly see that they have been located in the same spot for many years. The building is narrow and old looking. I find the inside to be cramped and out dated but overall it is clean. The floors are old, dirty looking and some tiles need replacing.

Jim's Lunch offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. I started with a soup, while I looked over the menu. Every day there is a different daily special. The offer burgers, hotdogs and hot platters. I chose a cheesesteak with their "secret" sauce and onion rings. I completely enjoyed my entire meal. Finally, the service really grabbed my attention. As soon as you walk in the door the owner greets you with a smile and a "Hello." We were taken to our table and asked about our drink order. Upon receipt of our drinks my order was taken. I ordered a cheesesteak and onion rings. The server knew the menu well and suggested that I try the "secret" sauce on my cheesesteak. The sauce made my sandwich outstanding. I was told that my order would be right out. Not ten minutes later and I had my meal. The server checked to make sure everything was alright with my meal about four times and she made sure that my drink was full at all times. The only issue with the service was that my check took some time getting to my table, but they did get really busy after I arrived. While dining at Jim's Lunch service was outstanding. The server was very attentive and made us feel at home.

I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning to Jim's Lunch. Jim's Lunch makes everyone's experience and enjoyable one. During my time there I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. As Jim's Lunch remains to treat it guests like family and food quality remains the same, it will remain my favorite place to eat in my small town.
