Something i’ve abandoned was the sport soccer. My brother taught it to me as a young kid and i would practice everyday I could but soccer never just flowed with me. I enjoyed the sport and playing with other people such as friends and family members but i guess soccer was never my sport. I signed up to play rec soccer and play against kids and it was the childhood sport when you grew up that's what every kid played. So when we had games everyone would come see me play but we ended up always losing cause half never tried and half hated the sport but had no choice on whether to play or not. So the more i got older the more i started to dislike the sport because it never went right with me. So around 8th grade year i dropped soccer sold all my stuff such as cleats and accessories and ever since then i abandoned the sport and never played again. Soccer was a sport I abandoned. I loved the sport so much that i would watch every LA LIGA game i could. I would buy so much soccer jerseys and posters and hang them up in my room thinking i was going to go pro but when it came to actually playing i could never fully grasp the sport. I was as conditioned as the other kids, i was fast but not as fast as the other kids.. I wanted to be like my brother who showed me the sport and prove to him i actually could play and also wanted to prove my dad wrong. I wanted to be the first kid to start young and be good at soccer, but the older i got the more i disliked the sport and then finally abandoned it.

Something i've stuck with though was basketball, basketball has been my favorite sport since i was a little kid. Nobody taught it to me in my family i just fell in love with the game. No one in my family played it and i was the first one. It started when I was about the age of 10. So once I started playing my friends and cousins had already a love for the game so every friday we would all play together. It was something that brought us all together and had a fun time and really had a passion for. In this article I found Alex Lickerman talks about how some people are used to what they know and stick to it, when other people don't like the original things and like to try new things and are comfortable with it. So far in my life i’ve seen people act like both of these types. Most people i’ve seen like to stick to what they know and like, they don't like trying new things but you always have those couple people who always want to do something new and forget about the orginal things. Basketball i’ve stuck with and never wanted to try new sports that people are into such as football and hockey. I enjoy watching these games but never had a drive to go out and try playing these. I’m used to the sport I grew up with and don't want to change. Something i’ve been with my whole life will stick with me for
