                          5. Clarity

To Jacqueline Berke’s mind, the quality of good writing consists of economy, simplicity and clarity. In others words, writing should be free of superfluous ornament, unnecessary restrain and at the same time should promote pleasure by producing a sense of from and right proportion. And concerned about the principle that” the reader over your shoulder”, writing need to be based on human nature of writing and humanity in writing without dull words to express itself clearly to the target readers. Hence, a good writing is by no means a burden to the readers, but it instead can be aesthetically satisfying.

In my view, clarity does play a vital role in constituting a good writing among these three fundamental elements. Basically, a majority of people are capable of being insightful in their heads, but rarely can they clarify their ideas in their writing. Because first of all, they lack logical language or techniques to highlight their points, which gives rise to confusing their readers. For the writers, their writing is a great work with interesting and inspirational perspective. Unfortunately, the readers may be unable to handle this article which is short of clear point, or powerful arguments, or even is weighted down over 2 different opinions  at the same passage. So in order to avoid the disorder of the article, it is advisable to gain the technique to repeatedly address writer’s idea at the the beginning of every paragraph. Besides make sure every word tell when your arguments are supporting the main idea. Thus, the article tends to not set up an additional roadblock to understanding your idea.

Also, it is of great importance for writers to pick correct words in the writing. Apparently, an article with obscure or loose words is inclined to upset the readers. Just as a painter fails to adopt right colors in his painting or a dress designer doesn’t successful apply the suitable logo to the T-shirts. Hence,in order to avoid incorrect words, the writer is at least obliged to stop using gibberish or oral phrases. Meanwhile, it is beneficial to figure out the implied meaning before the usage.

Suffice it to say here that clear logic and concise vocabularies go hand in hand to clarify you idea. By putting your appropriate language in a great order, your insightful perceptive will naturally receives it’s due. And when clarity has be achieved, a great work won’t too far away from you.
