Half Dome

It was about ten years ago I went to Yellowstone for a hike we left my uncles house I was so excited to go my heart was pounding with excitement especially when my uncle had told us we was going to hike up to the top of half dome one of the biggest mountains in the park .I didn't know what to think I was nervous but yet excited about the hike all the way there my uncle and cousins had told me how beautiful it was there the anticipation was killing me and we still had a three hour drive to get there it was a very long drive three hours went bye it seemed like ten to me .

However we had finally made it there we pulled up to the park it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen. The trees were so big and full of color the view was spectacular we walked around for a few minutes looking around at all the beauty surrounding us and the smell of the fresh air was so sweat .We had finally made it to the bottom of half dome it was so beautiful but yet intimidating to think I was about to hike to the top of this mountain.

Finally we started our long hike up to the top it was so tiring after just a few hundred yards but that was just the start of what was ahead of us we had a long ways to go yet over this rough terrain it first started out with a dirt trail then turned to rock well not just any rock but solid grannet stone once we had made it to the grannet we were halfway to the top of this huge mountain I was ready to turn around at that point but I just couldn't so I pushed on with my uncle and cousins all the way to the top. We finally made it to the top when we got there I looked up and was shocked at the beauty I was seeing it was the most beautiful view I had ever seen it seemed like I had just climbed to the top heaven. It was one of the greatest days of my life one that I will always remember.
