Sizzler was founded in 1958 is a United States-based, Australian owned restaurant chain. The restaurant serves steaks, seafood and salads as well as drinks at its locally own bar.

Sizzler today is the U.S states and territories main chain of seafood restaurants. In 11 countries more than 300 franchises are operated.

Right from the very start, Sizzler's investment to start up the business was around about 1.3 million dollars, the aim was a little high then what it needed to start up, restaurant franchises only need 300,000-400,000 at least but Sizzlers standards were high.

Sizzler was the origin of the concept 'casual dining' in Australia when it first introduced the first Soups, Salads, Pastas, Fresh Fruit and Desert Bars. Sizzler has since expanded the franchise by adding a new concept to the menu called the "classic grill". To include steaks, seafood, chicken dishes, BBQ ribs, combination meals and burgers,

"To always remain at the peak in providing customer satisfaction, excellence at all cost, while we build a strong character and leaves an indelible impression in the heart of our client or Associate" Is the mission statement every employment must follow for the assurance of the success of the company

Sizzler wouldn't be here today if the operators didn't have skills to own the business, and these skills are co-operation, group initiation, marketing skills and a sixth sense when it comes to serving up great dishes for locals.

What got Sizzler popular as it is today would be their concept of 'serve your-self, pay later' concept. Locals can pick and choose their own variety from many of Sizzler's vast self serving services.

The business could work relatively well with the recent boost for Hervey's population, tourism has grown in recent years and franchise like Sizzler would boost Hervey Bay's reputation, sure there would be competition, the RSL, Boat Club and The Bays water has been in Hervey bay since the very beginning so the locals would be more used to these restaurants.
