Analyse of shawshank redemption
The story happens in three decades and causes the audience follow the events and happenings of life in prison . all of these events want to show us that prison is not the solution of the problems .
The main specification of shawshank is it's actors' perfect acts in the film . the film maker instead of using stars in the film uses talented actors .
The things that attracts the viewer to follow the movie is that the plot has a smart climax that is not fully understandable until the last few scenes .
The filmmaker convey information mostly through facial expressions and lights and shadows , all of the violent scenes in the prison are take place in shadows . hopefulness and freedom as the main themes are shown with light colors , sunlight and by showing the beauty of nature .
The main characters of the film are : Andy Dufresne who is a clever , gentle , positive and hopeful person , red is contrast with Andy is a hopeless and regretful man , Norton is a man who believes in God and money and Hadley is hard man with compassionate side .
In my opinion the crux of the theme lies in the belief that the human spirit can triumph even over a place as hopeless as shawshank . hope have the power to redeem .
The film also explores the human potential for good and for evil . the first half of the film shows us the inhumanity . there are number of scenes that shows us this , like when fatass being killed at the beginning of the film for crying . humanity also shown through music , knowledge , friendship and hope . red redemption comes when he chooses to believe in hope .
Andy tries to give hope to others through education , willingness to provide a better life inside the prison and by talking to , his friends , red about the future .
Another major thing that the movie want to show us is freedom , you should not give up your freedom eventhough s.th bad happens to you and you should not become depressed all of the life , you should fight with difficulties at last you will succeed .
