In the song Anotehr Day in Paridise by Phil Collins a homless woman asks passerbys for help with no avail. The four ethical experiences are showcased through the song…The lady asking for help in Phil Collins Another day in paradeis startles people towards the action of helping but they later make the choice to either help the person or ignore them completely . The cry for help is an appeal that urges us to act instantaneously. If the person decided to help the homeless women then she would not stay in the persons memory. When people walk away from a homeless person or anyone asking for help their faces take a person hostage and give a feeling of guilt to the  individual. The next ethical experience, the feeling of obligation, is visible in the song when people begin to ignore the homeless women. As children people have been raised to think of homeless people as the lowest of the low, they are thought of as drug addicts, crazies, and as lazy people how will not go out and get a job. The police in different areas of the world say to not give money to the homeless .  this has now become a part of the rules and guidelines we follow to govern ourselves and the morals we grew up with. The last ethical experience,  the experience of contrast, plays into the song very subtly. The person that passes the homeless women in the streets may say that what is happening to the homeless is horrible and unfair, they may be outraged but they believe that the next person who comes along will solve their problems and they do nothing to fix the situation. This song even though it was written so long ago still reflects our situation in the moder day world and our views and actions towards homeless people. Using this song and the ethica experinces shown we can learn how to change our responses so that they can benefirt all of society.
