Comparing Two Cities

Los Angeles, California and Denver, Colorado are two cities about 1,100 miles apart from each other. Denver, Colorado sits 5,280 feet above sea level, and a population of 2.7 million which has grown 8% in population since 2000, making it the 24th most populous city in the US and the most sought after city to relocate to. The climate is mild and full of sunshine, giving residents over 300 days of sunshine a year. Which is more than either San Diego or Miami have ("Metro Denver's 300 Sunny Day a Year Create a Great Quality of Life," 2011). They average about 15.81 inches of precipitation and about 61 inches of snow yearly. They have a record low of -25 degrees. With-out a doubt Denver has some of the best sport teams, so if you're a sports fan, the Mile High City is the place you want to be. If you're not into sports than there are plenty of other attractions and entertainment for all ages to do around town own.

Los Angeles has a population of 4.06 million people making it the most populous city in California and the second most in the United States and one of the most multicultural counties in the United States. Los Angeles is a Mediterranean/subtropical climate that offers sunny weather all through the year with the exception of the smog. Its hottest months are between June and October, and receives most of their precipitation during the winter and spring time. With their location to the Pacific Ring of Fire, Los Angeles is also subject to earthquakes unlike Denver.

With a nickname of City of Angels, Los Angeles is the Entertainment Capital of the World, and is place for people to make their mark in hopes of making it big and gets discovered. Los Angeles has a wide array of things to do. This offers something for every age. With some of the most famous museums, amusement parks, beaches and numerous of other things, you will have no problem with trying to find things to do.

Some of the most notable differences between the two cities are Los Angeles being one of the most expensive and cultural diverse cities to live in the city with the worst traffic in the United States. But their biggest problem they are dealing with is a huge budget and housing crisis. Denver on the other hand, is dealing with the number of people who are relocating there, which has increased rapidly and has become very alarming to them.
