Opportunity

In Thailand, there are more than 14 million baby boomers, defined as those born between 1947 and 1964. Baby boomers will swell the ranks of the elderly population in Thailand. With the ageing of the baby boom generation, the population of Thailand is about to grey rapidly or to become aged society over the next three decades. Retirement age in Thailand is 55-60. After retirement, most people have nothing to do and their quality of life including physical health and mental health tends to be declined incessantly. As you may know, baby boomers wield a lot of buying power. Therefore, this is a good time to seize the opportunity and to help elderly have better lives.

Innovation

I would like to establish a relaxing place providing retirees various kinds of services as well as activities with premium quality. This place is located in the heart of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. All of the services encourage the retirees to encourage and promote mental well-being and mental health such as Aerobics class, Zumba class, Social Dance, swimming, yoga, fitness, sauna with Thai traditional herb and other kinds of recreation activities for elderly. Also, there will be lots of space for retirees to have a social interaction. Every month there is an event that we will invite some nutritionists, experts, physicians, psychologists or motivational speakers to inform the retiree useful information or share their experience. There are 3 healthy meals per day included. All participants can participate with no charge for the first time. It is always open on weekdays from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM. All participants have to choose 3 days out of 5 and pay for $360 monthly fee. This place provides specific activities each day as follows;

Day 1: Healthy Breakfast - Aerobics/Zumba – Healthy Lunch – Balancing act games (Individual/Team) – Healthy refreshment (dessert/beverages extracted from herbs and fruit)

Day 2: Healthy Breakfast – Social Dance – Healthy Lunch – Singing and dancing – Healthy refreshment (dessert/beverages extracted from herbs and fruit)

Day 3: Healthy Breakfast – Fitness/Swimming (Encourage for some people who have Knee Arthrosis) – Healthy Lunch – Yoga – Healthy refreshment (dessert/beverages extracted from herbs and fruit)

Sauna can be accessible any time. Additionally, we also have a small grocery store selling premium supplement.

Concerning during weekend, in order to maintain high quality, we have training for employees and employee recruitment. And another reason we close on weekend because weekend stands for family day in Thailand. Descendants always visit their family including relatives on weekend.

One-story buildings will be constructed. It would be better for elderly’s health not to walk upstairs.
