to help and to let the blacks stay away from whites was the reason for segregation. the blacks had to ride at the back of the bus while the whites were allowed to ride at the front. Rosa parks was arrested for not moving for a white man who wanted her seat. She refused to give up her spot when asked to move the man stated that he was going to get off the bus and have her arrested at the next stop. He got off the bus and she stayed on and never moved. Several miles down the road she was arrested. This caused riots and violence between blacks and whites.

Civil right acts helped to end segregation. Martain Luther King had a huge impact as dig Rosa Parks. These individuals stuck of for them selves and did not allow discrimination between blacks and whites. People were stoned beaten and some even death over segregation. A black man was sentenced to death because the stole two dollars. laws were in place to keep the whites separated from the blacks. Even amount young ini cent children. Segregation took place in the schools segregationing white from blacks. Today segregation is in place still. Often times blacks are discriminated against when applying for jobs and other things in the outside world. it was hard for african americans to find work. They were not allowed to vote.
