How to Image a Pc Using Symantec

Insert CD into PC, reboot. Hit F12 over and over again until you get into the boot selector.

Select "Boot from CD/DVD Drive.

Symantec will take a few minutes and ask if you want to start Networking services. Select yes.

Once you do that you will see this screen here:

Select ok. This is not a show stopper. You will then see this screen below. You want to select Back Up My Computer.

The software will then ask you to insert the License Key. The License Key is:

It will then ask you to select a drive you want to copy from. In this case it is the C Drive:

Then it will ask what drive you want to copy to. This is where you would select the External HDD, Thumbdrive, SD card or whatever other media you have. CD's and DVD's will not work. It must be a USB Device.

After you select your USB Device Press Okay then Next. Select a Standard compression and verify the recovery point. If your heart desires you may insert a Description. In this case I noted that this was Susan Fields old PC

Then you hit Finish. There will be a bar that will show how long the imagine process will take. If it is an office laptop or PC you are looking at about a half hour, sometimes more depending on how much software is installed on the PC.

Reboot your computer (you wont have to select F12 to boot onto the CD) and you should now see your newly imaged computer.
