Topic 5: How to study English efficiently

I. Introduction:

- Why we choose to study English not the other languages??

+ English is the global language. There are more than 80% people on over the world choose English as their second language.

+ English help us to communicate with others: make friends, travel, studying abroad, reading news paper...

- Some difficulties that Vietnamese students have to face with when they study English

+ In contrast, there are some difficulties that Vietnamese students have to face with when they study English: No environment to practice (English club, foreigner friends..), always feel shy when talking because they afraid that they say something wrong (spiritual factor)

II. Body:

- Grammar and vocabulary

+ Mastering English is quite difficult for them, Why? Because they don't find out a suitable way to learn. We have to study from the basic thing: grammar and vocabulary

+ Studying vocabulary by remembering about your good time: travel, memories, funny story... particular subject

+ Doing home work for grammar: practice everyday to remember..

- Writing and reading:

+ After studying grammar and vocabulary, now you have ability to writing a paragraph or an essay: writing a diary everyday, writing email.....

+ Reading book to study some special phrase or structure. Which structure for which case?

- Listening and speaking

+ This is the most important subject - must practice everyday (Practice makes perfect)

+ Don't be shy when speaking English

+ Watching English movie or music video to improve pronunciation skill and listening skill

+ Download lyric of your favorite song , erase some words, and after that try to listening the missing words.

III. Conclusion:

- It is important for student to improve their English skill for working, studying or travelling.
