There are many influences that are on voters. Many of these influences are from peers that surround the voter. I believe the influence that has the greatest power on a voter is the internet. People from all over the world are on the internet, many more opinion than what a voter would have in their local environment. There are also more broad opinions from some highly educated people, some that even are in politics for a living. The internet is a very powerful resource that has a huge impact on voters.

There are people from all over the world that gather on the internet, whether on social networks, chat rooms or forums. According to http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm, most users on the internet are from Asia. A total of 1,016,799,076, compared to America's 273,067,546 people that use the internet. The amount of users in Europe is almost double that of the North America, a total 500,723,686 users being from Europe. Also according to that chart, North America has the most percentage of users compared to their population, the percentage being 78.6 % and Europe being second at 61.3 %.

When it comes down to voting season, there are many articles and other forms of media concerning the presidential candidates and the president. A lot of the things that you see on the internet are usually negative, attacking some person in some sort of way. These comments can be very concerning to voters because they have to sort which are true and which are false accusations that just stir debate. Also, the source of the information has to be taken into concern; there is a lot of false information. Even though these opinions are negative, there is still a lot learned from them that makes the voter more educated in their decision.

After you sort through all the negative opinions and attacks, your mind becomes more open. You will find that a lot of people from other countries have strong opinions about the president and the presidential candidates, sometimes even stronger than some Americans. You are able to participate in debates with those people, hearing their opinion and being able to voice your own. Possibly, even learning more than you would think.

In conclusion, because of people from the whole world being on the internet, it has the greatest impact on voters. You are able to learn new things that you wouldn't otherwise have learned by just talking to people in your local community. There is a lot of negative information on the internet, but there is also a lot of important information, even if is negative.
