The Day You Were Born
The Morning was dark and cool, the ride to the hospital was quite and all Mommy and Daddy could do is hold each other's hand and smile. When they arrived at the hospital, Mommy and Daddy were very nervous and all Daddy could do was pace the long, cold hallways waiting for the doctors to call us back to the operating room. While waiting Grammy, Pop-pop, Yaya, Papa John, Mommy and Daddy were all talking about who you would look like and how big you were going to be. When the time came they took Mommy back to the cold and dark operating room and put Mommy on the table and covered her with a hot white blanket. Mommy was very scared to be all alone in the cold dark room and Daddy was so nervous he paced the hospital room filled with all our loving family. When the doctors were ready to begin, they brought Daddy to the cold and dark operating room then Mommy was not scared any more. The process began and it seemed like hours; all Mommy and Daddy could do is look in to each other's eyes, cry happy tears and smile widely. What took only minutes seemed to take hours but when we heard you cry and saw your beautiful red hair, sparkling blue eyes and your ten t little fingers and ten tiny toes all Mommy and Daddy could do was cry the happiest tears of their lives. When Mommy and Daddy got to hold you for the first time their hearts was beating rapidly and all they could do is smile widely and cry happy tears. The joy that you, their beautiful, blue eyed, button nosed baby girl Serenity was indescribable with words
