Title : The Ethics of Driving

1. INTRODUCTION

a. Attention-getter

Today is working day as usual. Daily routine, get up early and took a shower. Prepare myself a mild breakfast before get out. The clothes that I wore for today are all in appropriate look and stylish from head to toe. Everything seems just fine and as I walk out in good mood at the bright and lovely day. Indescribable and definitely I will have a good start. Then I took my car keys and get myself into car and start to begin my day. Out of sudden, my entire good mood has been spoiled by someone else. It happens while I am driving to go for work.

b. Reveal topic & Background info

I am sure that everyone in this class will feel the same way like I do. It is just like we are having some kind of split identity. As before you enter your car, your personality is like A type. Then a few second later when you're about to start driving your car, the personality has change to B type. Now, I'm not talking about how to drive, or how to get a good car. But, one of the most important things when we talk about car or particularly - driving, is the ETHIC or in a simple word would be the manner. Whether we realize it or not, ethic is a basic need that should already build-in in every human in the world. However it is not currently having by nature. Let me just simplified, ethics is about our morality towards anything such as good and evil, right and wrong. There are major branches of ethics that include normative ethics, applied ethics and so on. But today, I'm going to stress out about the ethics of driving.

Here are the three kinds of ethics that usually drive you while you're on the road.

i. Ethics guide with other vehicle on the road

ii. Ethics on parking or putting vehicle

iii. Ethical code of conduct

2. CONTENT

These would sound a little bit cliché to some of us but I have strong point to start with

So, the first ethics that I want to touch is,

a. Ethics guide with other vehicle on the road

- Drive within the speed limit

- Driving in accordance with prescribed paths, not to cut in areas that are not to cut or cut in a manner dangerous to passengers and other vehicles

- Not to be bullying other drivers

- Driving
