Sometimes when you are in a meeting or social event, you make connections with plenty of people. At times you are asked "Are you on Facebook" rather than being handed a personal business card. I agree with Ed Bell that technology has improved society in many ways but people use it indiscriminately, not distinguishing the good uses from the bad. Technological advancements have made people in today's society more reliant on electric interaction such as computers, cell phones and video games.

I know that in almost every house people either have a hard disk computer or a laptop. But are people using it the right way? As said that too much technology is not good. And the uses of the computer in a bad way are not good as well. For example, Facebook is a very popular social networking site that is used by many people around the world today. We use it to communicate with our long distance family, our friends, and jobs. My seventeen year old tall dark skinned, black haired friend sally is addicted to Facebook in a way that she cannot live without it. As we all know that most people in today's society are reliant on their cell phones, and cannot live without them. But do people know the real dangers around this device that their holding? According to the article: Cell Phones and Brain Cancer, Ronald Herberman told law makers "Long term and frequent use of cell phones_ which receive and emit radio frequency may be associated with and increases risk of brain tumors." Also, Studies show that one in 29,000 men and one in 38,000 women on an average develop brain tumors. This is a big number, and this can happen to anyone who's uses it too much. And I know that cell phones connect people and are really helpful in emergencies, but people are using it the wrong way. For example, teens that use cell phones, use them to text each other in school hours which makes them not focus on their work, and rather focusing on the conversation that their having with their buddy. Cell phones were not made for such things,
