" TRAILS OF TEARS"

The march where Cherokee nations were relocated and forced to move from their lands ( east of Mississippi river) to Indian territory present days Oklahoma is Trail of tears. During the time of periods many native Americans were forced to move. Native Americans' like Cherokee ,creek , semoile ,hunger, and moved from their homeland towards Indian territory.

under Andrew Jackson order many native Americans were removed by Indian removal act of 1830 which was passed to exchange native American land east of Mississippi river for lands west of river .

Choctaw in 1832 were removed at first like wise, Seminole in 1832 ,creek in 1834 Chickasaw in 1836 and Cherokee in 1838.Although the removal was supposed to be voluntary and peaceful, but Jackson forced them to leave. A treaty was made in 1832 by US government with Chickasaw which included providing them suitable land and protecting them until they were moved but US government backed down on their promise creeks were finally removed in 1836 without any compensation. In 1838 Cherokee were forced to move .they were not allowed time to gather their belongings. Their homes were even looted by whites. During the removal many native Americans suffered from exposures diseases and died because of starvation. Many died including 4,000 of the 15000 relocated Cherokees. Many Cherokee's died of cold, hunger, and diseases on their way to western lands. this suffer of people while march is known as trail of tears.

Giving land and protecting them until their movement was included in the treaty but US government back down on their promise which made the condition even worst .what i think is US government should have fulfilled promises made with native Americans as per treaty. Later, native Americans got their freedom and now everyone is treated equally.
