Everyone has a sensitive subject that can be a trigger, such as a bad experience or what others may have called baby memory that has happened to them at some moment in their life. When students do not get trigger warnings in school, it makes it very uneasy for them especially if the topic has some sort affect upon them . In college classes most teachers do not give trigger warnings, that’s because they expect students do not need any warnings at all. Many students expect to have them no matter what it is. Trigger warnings in a academic environment some students tend to overboard on certain topics: however, other students that do not go overboard with topics that are hard to talk about are rape, suicide, assault, and many other serious topics which is why these students want trigger warnings. This quote has discussed that having material that is difficult to talk to is a challenged that people need to face. However, when students are given challenges in any type of thing that teachers give, students somehow find a way to overcome the problem. Lastly, most teachers do not put trigger warning because they expect the students to know the matter that might be given, or the students should know what was signed up for . If teachers do not put the trigger warnings the students will go to whoever is in charge and tell teachers to either get them fired or tell them to do the work they need to get done. There are many ways to look at why students feel the need for trigger warnings in an academic environment, but there is one thing other students can look about not having trigger warnings in a academic environment having trigger warnings make students feel like they are not in the real world.
