You are part of an audit team for Rrrr Audit & Assurance Services, LLP [RAAS, LLP], a regional, but rapidly growing firm. You are responsible for completing and documenting, in a partial set of working papers, some audit steps for a particular “target client” . Target clients are clients we are considering submitting audit and assurance service proposals to. Assignment 2 requires you to provide workpaper documentation of the results of the preliminary engagement activities and the client acceptance/continuance activities introduced in Ch 3 of our textbook and presented in audit standards and guides . It builds on the usual preliminary audit activities by completing and documenting the risk assessment process discussed within pages 104 – 111 of our text. One suggested item to include in III-1 of the workpapers is a modification of the Client Acceptance Questionnaire we used to compile some preliminary evidence concerning EarthWare Clothiers. Completing the sections/questions highlighted in yellow should provide a first cut at useful client background information. The important ‘Background’ information and its sources should be documented in section III-1.
