Jessup, Diane. The Working Pit Bull. Neptune City: T. F. H. Publications Inc, 1995. 1-284. Web. 1 May 2011. In this book, Diane is stating many different facts about the Pit Bull breed. There are facts that discuss where the Pit Bull comes from as well as what their purpose was and is today. It states in this book that the Pit Bull was used to control cattle in the Middle Ages.

On this website I was able to locate some of the historic political, cinematic, and humanitarians who were avid pit-bull lovers and owners throughout different years. This website also states that Helen Keller owned a Pit Bull and that this dog played the role of Petey on the movie "The Little Rascals". I will also be using some of the statistics at the bottom of the website in my research paper because they compare the amount of dog attacks to the number of other different incidents that do not include the Pit Bull.

This website gives some really good statistics and facts from the American Temperament Test Society about the passing rate of pit bulls on these tests and the percentages of the pit bull breed compared to other breeds. I am also going to use the information stated from this website in regards to the population of pit bulls compared to other breeds, as well as how many pit bull attacks there were between the years of 1978 to 1998 in comparison to other dogs.

This site has many different resources and forms of information that is going to be helpful in this research paper. The main reason I am choosing to use this website is because it breaks down the different types of dogs that are considered to be a Pit Bull. It also gives a definition of what temperament is and why it was created for dogs. There is also a breakdown of percentages on different dogs including the pit bull so that I can include not only the pi bulls score, but the other dogs that were tested as well so that it can be clear that this particular breed is not the most aggressive.
