I did not expected much from the movie, given the subject (ornithology), yet I was pleasantly surprised. It was not only zany and quirky but hilarious. The whole concept of winner being select based on his own count of spotted birds kind of moved me into another, parallel world. How you can trust anybody when we consider self-estimate? Also while romantic line was important it never overshadowed the main line of movie.

Even though I watched it long time ago, and completely forgot, I definitely remember that I enjoyed it a lot. It even inspired me to read Big Year entry in Wikipedia, and yes this bird watching competition was indeed based on participants personal, unconfirmed accounts. There was truth even about the correct name for bird watchers, even though I forgot it too.

Also I kind like this blond actor. I always thought that he must not be particularly intelligent just because of being blond and attractive. Yet I was ashamed to learn that he authored a bunch of scenario. At moments I think, no somebody must helped him with writing. Yet, thouse blond jokes have nothing with truth. Blondes can be exceptionally smart, and brunets can be stupid. I wonder though do he earn more on screen play writing or acting. Also I was inspired too watch a documentary about a bird buff.

In brief, highly recommended!

By now I exceded the required 250 words so I go to watch some movies,

Hope noone particularily blond will ever read it.

All the best!
