Classroom Rules and Routines

A. 1. When entering the gym students will run their 3 laps around the gym. When finished they will go to their assigned spot in the gym.

2. Students will take a pass (boys/girls) hanging on the on the handle to the supply closet. One boy pass and one girl pass, so one per pass at a time.

3. Students will be aloud to get drinks at the end of class and line up in a straight line at the door they came in. Students will line up with a hug and bubble (K-4). Grades 5-8 will line up with 'No Talking.'

4. Attendance will be taken once they have ran their laps and are in their assigned spots.

5. Fire drill/tornado drill procedures will be covered within the first couple of days of school. They will also be practiced periodically through out the school year.

6. Students are expected to walk along the right side of the hallway. This is expected between classes including going to specials, lunch, and recess.

7. They will dismiss as their buses or parent pickup or walkers are called. At that time they will be aloud to go to their lockers and then head to the bus doors (the set of doors that lead outside to where their bus is).

8. When will materials be distributed? On the bases of what they are for. If it is something that the students will need for class then it will be given after attendance it taken. If it's something that is for them to take home then it will be handed out at the door before they leave the classroom.

If it's materials for Physical Education class it will be handed out once attendance it taken and rules are explained.

9. For P.E. there will not be any reason for paperwork, but if for some reason there is I would allow them to head their paper as they would in their regular class.

10. Their will be very minimal amount of homework assigned. The only type of homework that I would most likely assign would be to encourage them to be physically active outside of school. For example play basketball, softball, jump rope, the Wii etc.

11. This would be something that would be done orally a majority of the time.

12. Their won't be an y seatwork.

13. If they are talking when they are instructed to do a silent activity or when I am talking they will face the consequences that were set by them combined with the school rules. They will be visible through out the gym and will be covered several times through the year. I will not point any students out. I will use eye contact and proximity to address the situation.

14. My rules about class discussion will be that if I'm (the teacher) is talking your voice should be 'off.' I will allow them to talk during their activity as long
