Creating a Plan for Positive Influence

Managers and teams are always going to be on the basis of having a positive influence in order to come out to an effective outcome for the project(s) that the team may be considering or if it is to just improve the company and its employees as a whole for better operations within. There are and will be many things that are going to come at team members when pursuing the goals and the project ahead of them.

Robbins & Judge, (2011), state, "In the world today our personalities have a way of shaping one behavior. To understand some ones behavior better within the organization, it would be a help to know something about their personality." With being assigned to each team, you come across different ideas and statements towards the project that is being worked on with that one team. Conflicts are always going to arise, especially when you get employees as team members that have different ideas, emotions, attitudes, etc., to deal with throughout the life cycle. When working with others, it's good to acknowledge the good points in that person, rather than trying to point out the flaws and pushing the project deadline farther and farther back at points in time. There were some team members that were the extraverted type, where they considered everyone's opinions within the group, gave us some room in order to choose our sections to work on and what-not on the assignments.

Attitude also comes into play, because sometimes you get the cocky students that think that just because they have been employed in these fields for years upon years, that they know and understand more than the other team members that are in the class with them. Or that they just plain think they don't know what to do and do not participate within the
