The argument between uniforms in schools or regular dress down has been going on for decades. Both sides pose good points but ultimately there is no comprise. Although most people can find favor in each argument this essay will highlight the positives for wearing uniforms.

One positive thing about uniforms are that the society these days are based on what you have. Having a uniform helps people know that we are all equal to one another. In school today most students are focused on what others have or making sure there in style. While doing this they are more focused on the latest styles and not education. Wearing uniforms, students never have to worry about whats in style because they are all wear the same thing.

Another positive thing is that uniforms give a sense of structure and discipline. There are many jobs that require a special uniform such as nurses, military, firefighters, and many more. When people are in these uniforms they do not just tell people where there from but gives them something to act by. When students where their uniform they are supposed to act with respect and treat the school name as if it was their own. Organization members who wear uniforms can develop a sense of pride in being identified as a member of the group. The uniform creates a sense of belonging and identity. Wearing the uniform can be a personal statement of support, connection and acceptance of the organization's ideas and values.

Another positive thing are that uniforms help save money. The uniforms are cheap compared to the clothing prices today. Schools argue that school uniforms are economical, especially compared to designer clothing, and parents agree given school uniform durability. They say school uniforms last longer because they are made for repeated wash and wear. Many people who have siblings in the same school use the uniform they used to save even more money.

Therefore uniforms keep students safer, decrease distractions in classrooms, create school pride and build a sense of community. Uniforms can help decrease theft since students have fewer personal items at school. Students who leave school property without permission are identified by their uniforms as students of a particular school. School employees know which students belong in the building. Also it saves people money because your not going out at buying new clothes every season. If employees also wear uniforms, unauthorized adults are easily recognized.
