Entertainment is defined as movies, music, video games, television, and theater. Actually anything that you do that can also be defined as entertainment. We look to entertainment as a source of fun and leisure. As stressful as life can be a source of entertainment can relax our mind and free us away from the problems of the world. Some people have different type of ways they can entertain themselves from working on their hobby, watching a movie, talking on the phone, watching TV, playing video games, on the computer, reading books, to even the simple things like drawing a picture or reading comics.

Why do people prefer comedy for entertainment? Comedy provides laughter and amusement. Laughter is good for the soul Laughter can make a bad day turn into a good day. It is said the more you laugh the more days to live on earth. Laughing makes everything better it can turn a bad situation to a good situation. Why do people watch movies? Watching movies is also one of the most popular hobbies of people worldwide. Its feels good to watch a movie and to feel as though your apart of it. Sometimes it can be a downfall especially when it's a sad movie and you feel those tears coming down your face. Movies relax the mind, and it can take you to a whole another world.

Why do people play video games? Playing video games is a hobby. Video games are said to be a form of art as well. Video game challenges the mind it's always good to have your mind challenged. Video Games may be played by one person for their own entertainment, or by a group of people. Video Games may be played for achievement or money. Video games can also be a representation of life. What about just plan regular games you may ask Games may be be said to be for children, but in reality anyone can play a game form sports to mind games it has no age to it as long as you know how to play it.

Even though entertainment is good for you it has been said to also be bad for you for instance watching movies is said to be a waste of people's time. Entertainment is also said to be one of the reasons that kids these days are not performing well academically like they should be. Entertainment can be distracting. The relaxation that entertainment provides is necessary for the overall well-being of people. Peace and accord can be found through relaxation, and for many people this is achieved through entertainment. Some entertainment is said to be damaging to society because it is degrading, and lacks cultural enrichment. Entertainment has a big effect on little kids these days maybe even bigger than the effect their parents have on them, but then again sometimes I say to myself it's just how the world works these days we can't live without it and we can't live with it. Some things you just can't control or is out of reach of controlling.
