Hate Crimes

Hate Crimes in America is one of the fastest growing crimes there are. As we began to look into Hate crimes I'm going to start off and give you a little light in to these types of crimes and let you know who commits these types of crimes. Who are some types of people that gets target and who are the victims and why. What are some of the reason why they do the crimes that they do. And the last thing that I will talk about is what are some of the measure that we can take to help minimize these types of crimes.

Hate Crimes

As I started my research I want to first start off and let you know what a hate crime is, it is a crimes (also known as bias-motivated crimes) it only occurs when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her perceived membership in a certain social group, usually defined by race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, class, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, social status or political affiliation. A hate crime is a legal category used to described bias-motivated violence: "assault, injury, and murder on the basis of certain personal characteristics: different appearance, different color, different nationality, different language, different religion or just been different generally refers to criminal acts that are seen to have been motivated by bias against one or more of the types above, or of their derivatives. Incidents may involve physical assault, damage to property, bullying, harassment, verbal abuse or insults, or offensive graffiti or letters to certain people.

As I continued to do my research I found out there were many hate crimes that has went on over the years such as we can go back to as far back as I can remember such as whenever we back when slavery was going on that is a hate crime due to the fact that they did things to people that they did not like because of the color of their skin and then we also gain one of the famous mob or a gang or some people knows them as a white supremacy group that I would call them they did many things that we would call hate crimes agenst them or that was not for them they are not as bad as they use to be.

There are many different types of people that are involve in hate crimes such as handicap people, elderly people that can't fend for themselves and people that just want to pick on them because they want to have a laugh little kids get bullied at school I think that is a form of a hate crimes and I think that something that has grown way out of proportion and it needs to be stop. There are many homosexual that are involve in a hate crimes I remember one case about a guy that was in the army that got killed because his girlfriend was a transsexual that happen at the same base that I'm stationed at today.
