Crime, something that seems to be inevitable, happens all over the world at any time of the day. Crime is an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. Crime rates soar at times and reach outrageous numbers. However, what if crime was inherited? If some type of research was done, and it scientifically proved that crime is inherited, what could we do/say about our children of violent criminals? What programs should society implement and why? What would be the social, policy, and ethical implications?
Is this was the case; our children born into this world from criminals would definitely have a tough road ahead of them. Rapist, murders, thieves, and so forth would fill this populated country. And the crime rate would be off the charts. I believe if things were like this that the doctors or government should really consider setting up maybe a program of some sort to monitor those specific individuals. To track brain movement or brain waves to monitor their exact thought process. Just a thought of mine that I think could really work.
Our society in this case should implement maybe locating the individuals and let others know who exactly these people are and what they or their kids in this case are capable of doing to a person. We as people have the legal right to protect ourselves as individuals against any force of nature. An also we as society we need to know that these are children we are dealing with so we should do everything we can to keep them on the right track an also suggest even putting them into foster care. There was actually one study (Cohen) "which tracked children into adult life found "under-controlled" children who exhibited disruptive behavior at the age of three were four times more likely to be convicted of violent offences".
As Far as any implications with this issue, socially, people should be very careful of one's children. We need to be very skeptical of who they are an if we really should convers ate with those individuals. Granted, we should not blame these kids for what their parents were. We definitely should take a careful approach. As policy implications I think we should vote for at least maybe of a sterilization of these kids parents
