Color Sensational
Maybelline commercials and ads always catch the eye. The attractions are the bright colors on a plain back ground, an attractive woman with her face made up like she's on a runway, and the repetition of the words that get stuck in your head.
The ad is a two page layout. On the first page here is what the ad says exciting, stunning, and captivating are written followed by every color's a sensation. Every woman wants exciting and stunning make up. Under the words there is a picture of their new products that they are selling. A picture of a red lip liner called anti-feather liner, picture of a crispier, creamier lipstick called red revival, and a picture of a sophisticated, luxurious shine lip gloss called cranberry cocktail.
Fall in love with color. The magazine really stresses the new sensational colors. Maybelline has much experience knowing that women love color. Color stands out. What woman does not want to stand out? Color is the new trend. Neutral lipstick was the fashion trend. Now "red lips" are back in. The bold look of the color catches the eye. All of the colors make one woman different from another. Although they may like some of the same colors out of forty-eight colors makes the individuality comes to play.
I also like the way that the designers made the woman's face take up so much of the layout.
The use of text was creative and many different writing techniques were used to lure the consumer into purchasing this item.
