         My impression about NSU financial aid comparing to home and abroad universities

Financial aid is very important and a need to those students who has the urge to study but doesn’t have enough financial support to continue this noble work. Financial aid assists students in affording educational costs. North South University is one of leading universities in Bangladesh and the university provides the opportunity to meet the financial needs of eligible students.

Education at best universities like NSU is costly. NSU understands that many families need help for filling the gap between what they can afford and the resources needed to pay university education costs. So, NSU gives high priority to their financial aid for helping students. North South University gives financial aid in the form of academic scholarships, tuition waivers and student employment.

North South University gives hundreds of student full or partial financial aid each semester like many foreign universities which is really admirable. Financial aid department selects eligible students based on admission test result or academic result at NSU which is completely based on the needs of the students. The complete process is fair and the protocol of this has an international standard. Students have to fulfill certain criteria to apply for financial aid. North South University also gives financial aid to students who has siblings studying in NSU and needs financial support.

NSU let one to enjoy waiver the facility till twelve semesters. One has to maintain CGPA up to a certain level which is completely reasonable and through this process only brighter students get the chance to enjoy this facility. Financial aid cell automatically renew applications after each semester which lessens many redundant activities like applicants don’t have to apply for aid each semester etc. The form that NSU provide contains many necessary information about the applicant from which financial aid cell decides which student they should give the financial aid facility in terms of merit and wealth. They also consider about the information they gather during the interview of parents/ guardians because it is a completely reliable source.

There are many universities in foreign and abroad where financial aid facility is available but the way NSU financial aid cell seeks the best student to receive this opportunity considering talent and wealth is unique and remarkable. Without student financial aid, many students could not afford to attain university. Many universities in this country don’t follow the correct protocol and often provide waiver to students who has enough financial support from their family, and in this way many needy applicants lose their opportunity. North south universities financial aid program certainly helping students like me who needs financial support to continue study. It is also helping me and other students to move towards brighter future without concerning about educational costs. I’m fully assured that NSU will continue to provide this facility and make this a better institution to study where rich-poor doesn’t matter and become the true center for excellence for higher education.
