Keep many more friendships because of facebook i.e. long distance friends or meet old friends

Easier to contact - Online pen pals- cheaper than sending a post card half way around the world

Facebook page is like clothes e.g. in the 70's people used to wear bell bottoms - Disco/ party person, Ties in with profile picture, and what people have written on your wall -photos/videos.
