Pareting Styles

First we have the Authoritarian parenting style, also known as the military style. These types of parents are way too strict with their kids. Since they like to be in control of every little situation, they usually

have very strong rules and very strong punishments if the rules are broken. The authoritarian parents are usually the ones that don't like to give many explanations. For example, they tell their kids that they must have perfect grade in all of their classes but they never explain why that is important for the future. Because of this the kids don't grow up to be independent and they find it difficult to evolve in different situations. The expectations that this parents have are usually way too high and sometimes unrealistic. These kids are usually the ones you find being the president of their class or being best athlete in different clubs and sports. This type of parenting doesn't seem to work. The kids that are raised by authoritarian parents usually suffer from emotional problems. In these types of households the kids are usually very unhappy. Sadly these kids don't grow up to be very social and they find it very difficult to find someone to talk to.

On the other hand we have permissive parents. Unlike the authoritarian parents, this types of parents have very few or no rules. Because they do not like conflict, they usually let their kids get away with bad behavior. The parents in these circumstances usually attempt to be their child's friend instead of their parents.
