When Percy Jackson takes a field trip to a museum for school, his whole life changed. After he gets attacked by his demon math teacher, his mom brings him to this camp called camp-half blood. Along the way to camp half-blood his mom gets kidnapped by a Minotaur and Percy has to defeat the minotaur.

After staying at camp half-blood, Percy is accused of stealing Zeus's master lightning bolt. To redeem his innocence, Percy goes out on a quest with two other campers, Grover and annabeth.

On the quest he has to fight medusa and other monsters from Greek mythology. When he gets to the underworld he finds out that he has been betrayed by his friend and the god Ares. He finally retrieves the bolt and returns the bolt, and proves his honor and reputation.

I could connect this book to the brother band chronicles because of how they all work together to complete a task. I would also connect this book to the Eric Rex Series because of how they have to fight mythological monsters.

I would rate this book a 10/10 because of how well the author has written the book and how well the plot ties in with character development. I also like this book because of how the book is based on mythology and how the author makes you visualize parts of the book. I would say this book is for 10-16 year olds because it's a fantasy book.
