WORKING TITLE - POSTAL SERVICES

SYNOPSIS -

A man, clearly miserable, is explaining to his colleague's that he and wife are not speaking to one another and that all they do to communicate is leave each other little notes. He is telling his colleague how irritating his wife is and how she has been making his life difficult.

Just before he leaves for work, he is called by his boss to his cabin and is told that he has been slacking at work and his lazy attitude will not be tolerated if it continues and that he would have to look for a new job. The boss then tells him to buck up and that he has to accompany him on a really important meeting the next day with some big client of theirs to finalize a contract and that he better be on his game tomorrow.

Back at home and clearly the worse for wear, he finds his wife reading and watching TV clearly not in the talking mood. There are notes everywhere for him such as `so and so called' and `your dinners in the oven' etc.

When it is time for bed he thrusts a note into his wife's hands which says `I have an appointment at 8 am. Please wake me at 6!'

Dog tired he sets his alarm and sleeps the sleep of the dead. He wakes up very sleepy and suddenly swings his legs out of bed, wiping his eyes he grabs the alarm clock which tells him its 10 am. He stands up in a rage and as he grabs his dressing gown a piece of paper falls to the floor. It is a note from his wife which reads ` Wake up! It's 6 am.' And the post script reads "check the drawer" where he finds divorce papers.

At the same time, he gets a call from his boss. The boss fires him.

Sequence 1

1. Establishing shot of a house. Then interiors of the house are shown and we can see pictures of a happy couple on the walls. Title of the film comes on as the camera un-focuses on one such picture. Taylor Swift's Love Story instrumental playing.

Sequence 2

1. We see the woman in the picture working in the kitchen cooking food. Nice mellow instrumental music

2. Next shot of her doing laundry and folding men's clothing and keeping it in the cupboard.

3. She then starts cleaning the house.

Sequence 3

1. We see the man from the picture. Long shot of him going to office. Music changes.

2. OTS shot of him in the office switching on his computer and pretending to work but actually playing solitaire. Music ends with the shot.

3. Shot of him looking at his watch and going to the cafeteria and socializing.

Sequence 4

1. Mid long shot of Kshitij entering his colleagues cabin. Ambience sounds

2. Mid shot of the colleague and Kshitij taking a seat at the table. Colleague - Hey man, how's it going? Finished the report?

3. Shot of Kshitij putting his feet on the table without regard for the things that are there. Kshitij - Kuch nahi yaar, sab theek chal raha hain. Aaj bahut bore ho gaya. Report to ho jayegi,

4. Mid shot of colleague. He is making faces at Kshitij because his feet are on the table, but Kshitij doesn't notice. Colleague - Aur ghar pe sab theek? Bhabhi ji Kaisi hai?

5. Kshitij getting on to his feet and starts pacing the office. Kshitij(angrily) - Uska toh mujhe baat hi nahi karna. I am so sick of her. Main toh ab usse baat hi nahi karta. Jo bolna hota hai, post it pe daalke bolta hoon. Till the time she doesn't apologize, I am not going to utter a single word to her.

6. Shot of Colleague Colleague - Dude let it be. Don't let your ego ruin your relationship.

7. Shot of Kshitij Ok fine, lets not talk about this.

Sooo... you've done the report right? Can I take it? I'll just copy it and change some things here and there. Kisko kya pata chalega>

8. Colleague handing the report over to Kshitij.

9. Mid shot of Kshitij leaving. Door shuts. Thanks man, see you later.

10. Mid close-up of Colleague talking to himself. Bastard!

Sequence 5

1. Shot of Kshitij leaving his cabin to go home when his boss calls him. Boss - Kshitij, I need to talk to you.

Kshitij - yes sir

2. Shot of Kshitij standing with the boss. OTS of the boss and Kshitij's face is seen. Boss - I have been observing you for quite sometime, and you have been really slacking at work despite several warnings. Your lazy attitude will not be tolerated anymore and you better buck up or look for a new job.

Kshitij - Yes sir I will.

3. Shot of boss. Boss - You will accompany me tomorrow our meeting with Global Pharma. You better have your game on tomorrow and don't mess up. And be on time.

4. Boss leaves

5. Shot of Kshitij Abuses the boss

Sequence 6

1. Kshitij entering his home

2. Shot Vidushi watching TV (both of them ignoring one another) TV sound

3. Shots of post-its everywhere saying things like "your dinner is in the over". "your sister called" "you have to go for your dentist appointment at 6 on Saturday" etc

4. Kshitij thrusts a note in Vidushi's hand saying "Give me the tv remote" and vidushi gives it.

5. Vidushi talking on the phone while Kshitij watches TV TV sound - sports channel

Sequence 7

1. Both Kshitij and Vidushi are preparing to go to bed.
