I have been to Sapa only once, yet the scenery and the people there are still in my memory as i am meeting and seeing them.

After travelling 8 hours by train from Hanoi, we got on a bus. The bus drove up to hills and mountains, we could not see clearly the road because of the fog. However, the driver seems to know the road by heart not by his eyes, he droves skillfully and got us to the village.

The mountainous people dressed up in the colourful handmade clothes. Their faces and smiles so lovely and friendly. The mother carried her child on the back. He smiled and looked at us like we are his family members.

I checked in a small hotel, call Huong Rung, then rented a bicycle to go around the village. There are so many many small shops like in old quarter, the cafe, the breakfast venue, the clothe store with interesting handmade sovervirs. The cool wind blowed on my hair and i tried to breathed the cleaned air as if i had not been enjoyed this fresh air before.

I stopped in front of a small lake and could not believed on what i am seeing, a very little girl of around 4 years old are swiming in the lake, actually no, she was catching fish! Can you imagine? At her age, a city girl is still being fed by a mother but here she is doing for her daily life!

I came back to the hotel, still thinking of the little girl, what i learned from school and from my mother about teaching survival skill to children seemed not true.
