Western Nations

Should Western nations put pressure on African cultures to stop the practice of female genital mutilation? Would it be any different than if Africans tried to stop Westerners from having breast enhancements, liposuction, or "nose jobs" because these operations violated their values?

I really in this case think that they should ban this reason being is because nobody should put through that kind of pain no matter how young or old they are. I think it would be a lot different if they tried to stop westerners from having the operations that they need or won't to make them selves special. One reason is that Americans get the enhancements at a certain age and if they feel pain after then they are old enough to make there own decision. The African might wona take after the U.S. on this one forcing little girls to cut there stuff off or sew it up is crazy and it needs to be changed. And they do this just so they can stay sex free till marriage its good in a way but to me it seems to do more good then bad. The Africans have to learn that things like that needs to be wiped out, its hurt full and I am sure its leaves the little girls lives messed up.

In the article that I read the main Idea of this was to explain who the mountain men were and what they do for a living. From what I ready they kept journals on what they did to keep track of what was happening. The author had over 60 films and 20 documents and numerous commercials.

The things that stood out to me in the articles were the facts that they made the two man look like icons of there day but it goes back in to brake down how one of the men had internal conflicts that he did not show but I guess the author displayed it through the written. Things that I didn't like were that; like many man of there day they were woods man, anybody could have did this job, but the article make us believe that there were the best and that's all to it.
